Handmade Accessories

Saghar Shakouri graduated in textile design from Tehran University of Art and continued her studies at Tehran Technical Institute with focus in Interior decoration.
She began designing clothes and textiles in 2003 and has held various shows ever since.
The popular collection Kondis was described by her as follows: “Kondis is the simplest and most basic official Persian dress, which at the time of arriving in Persia was probably a rectangular cloth in the middle of which a gap was placed intended to cross the head.
The short form was used by the Mad Empire with long boots for snowy areas, and the long form was used by the Pars Empire.
After the arrival of the Persians to rule, a change occurs in the simple dress, and its evolved form can be found in the designs of Persepolis and Pasargadae and glazed tiles and carvings of the popular Behistun Inscriptions.”
